Disney - Getting
There

We had a car pick us up about 4:00am and take
us to the Baltimore airport. At the airport we gathered our
luggage and made our way to the check in and security check.
Everyone made it through fine except Doug he had metal in
his shoes. We sit now and wait to board the plane, and we
are off on our Magical Vacation.

This was the girls first flight and they loved
it. During our flight we told the flight attendant and she
had the pilot announced their name during the descent information
(they were so embarrassed). We took some cool pictures from
the plane.
Finally we arrive in Orlando and a white stretch
limo picks us up and whisks us to the Contemporary at Disney
World. Let the magic begin.

Our room was on the 7th floor, with a lagoon
side view. Directly below our room there were sculpted bushes
and flowers that formed a watch. From our balcony we could
see magic Kingdom, The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian
Resort. We watched the fireworks at the castle many nights
from our balcony.

After we get settled into our rooms we go
down stairs and board the monorail which goes right thru our
hotel. The monorail picks us up and stops at the Transportation
Center and then onto the Polynesian and The Grand Floridian
Hotel before arriving at the Magic Kingdom. The first thing
we did was walk up Main Street together.

Nelson wanted to get his hair cut at the Main
Street Barber Shop, so while we waited we got the perfect
spot to watch the Walt's Dream Parade come down Main Street.

We spent the rest of the afternoon touring
the park.

One of the fun things to due in Disney World
is to get autographs of the many characters you meet in the
parks. Ariel and Madison had Disney autograph books, Marti
had a mini scrapbook for the characters to sign. I knew I
would be doing many scrapbook when we returned from our trip
so I took tags along for the characters so I can put them
on the page with the photos of the characters.

After dinner we were just in time to see the
Spectromagic Parade. It was a really cool parade. Everything
had tons of lights on it, even the characters clothes had
lights on it. Click

After the evening parade we made our way to
the castle for the fireworks show. After the fire works we
hung around the castle waiting for the crowds to clear. There
was a statue of Mickey and Walt in the center of a seating
area and there were statues of other Disney characters made
of bronze on each corner. Then we catch the monorail and head
back to the Contemporsry to get some rest before another big
day of Disney's Magical fun on Tuesday.
